Display price with VAT/TAX and Ex VAT/TAX

v1.30a Released!!!

Changes this version:

• Solved issue with 0 total appearing in the Shopping Cart total
• Added functionality to allow prices shown with or without tax during the Checkout.

The major change in this issue is to add a new configuration item called Display prices with Include and Exclude Tax which replaces the changed Display prices with Tax config item in previous versions. You must add the SQL Patch included with this version (Config->Tools->Install SQL Patch). This patch will add the new config item and restore the original item back to its "factory" setting.

This version is now available from my site at www.omnicia.com and will be submitted to the Zencart addons later today.

I ran into the same problem Spo0f had (Inc/Ex prices mixed up/etc) when I recently upgraded to the 1.30a version.

I've managed to fix it, without seeming to break anything... or so I think at the moment.

I altered, and added, something on two lines in the display_price and display_price_inc_ex_tax functions. Along with editing two lines in the check_inc_ex_status function. All the edits were essentially relating to changing any instance of DISPLAY_PRICE_WITH_TAX to DISPLAY_PRICE_WITH_TAX_EXTENDED.

Hi, I think i have found a bug with Display price with VAT/TAX and Ex VAT/TAX?

The tax / display is wrong depending on the admin settings and what page you are looking at. I have attached some screen shots to illustrate.

The UK VAT is set to 20% on a clean install of zc 1.3.9h

I have been able to make the Price including & Excluding VAT..

I am using the USD as my default currency bt wen I change the currency(for e.g EUR), it gives the price for both with VAT included & excluded..

Is it possible to display only the price of a product,i.e only the price with no VAT applied for currencies which are not set as default??

Hi,

I have had this module working fine up until I changed my shipping rates.

I have added a list of the the counties and i have then allocated these into zones in order to differentiate costs.

The only problem i have now, is that unless someone signs into their account (and thus confirm their shipping address) they are presented with "PRICE_ZERO_TAX_TEXT".

If however if i add "united kingdom - all zones" into one of my zones this removes the PRICE_ZERO_TAX_TEXT but obviously means that the new shipping prices are not working.

I assumed that I may have missed a county or 2 from the zones but i have quadruple checked that all of the sub-zones have been assigned to a zone.

Could someone please please please help me to rectify this problem!!!

I have installed this and it has been working perfectly. however i just noticed that in the checkout, the unit price and the line price are the same for any quantities (i.e. even if you have selected 10 products, the line total will be the same as the unit total for 1 product).

Could this be caused by this module as i have no idea what else would have caused this to happen.

I had the same issue, but could not fix it so I just removed the mod. Hopefully something like this will be part of 1.5. If 1.5 has additions other than a PCI conformity and certification.

I’m still working on the 150 update and now the site is working correctly I’m on to layout. I have this mod working fine on the product info page but I can’t get it on the category product list.

No. The original dev threw a hissy fit with Zen cart and others here that he no longer supports Zen cart. Dead mod, dead thread... shame, its a great mod and should be a core feature. No ones seems to want to take it on!! I even contacted the author to pay to have this fixed for 139h as it has a few bugs... he wasn't interested.

What can you do when the original Dev doesn't even want paying to fix it? You have Fuk all chance of getin it fixed for v15

The addon "include_and_exclude_tax_in_prices_nettgross_1-23a" was made for 1.3.9 and works in my 1.5.0 site as you can see here.

Only one file was needed to merge. Use WinMerge and make the adjustment. Easy.

ah yeah.. i've been having a few probs with this mod as well... it works great and displays as it was intended to...

that is until you click on the shopping cart, and then it doubles the ex vat price...

so if the customer has bought a product for 52.89
the ex vat price being 43.00

when you click on shopping cart you get 52.89 incl
and 86.00 EXCL....

strangely enough on the final stage of shopping cart the totals are correct and customers aren't being overcharged...

however i've lost sales because of this because customers freak out:flex:
