Display price with VAT/TAX and Ex VAT/TAX

i have a problem in the VAT module , and it seems that it does not checking if the VAT number is real , so , if i am just putting any values inside of the VAT textbox i am getting the same result as if it was real VAT number..

I just wanted to say thanks for writing this and taking it as far as a fully formed contribution.

No problem- but sorry to all those who are waiting for the attribute upgrade- Got a major project right before Christmas which is eating in to my time at the moment- I'l be back to normal in February.

Unless it's me, there also seems to be a problem with the display in the shopping cart when using quantity discounts in that the price displayed is for 1 unit and the total is calculated on that, although the subtotal is correct, as illustrated in the attached image - the unit price is 97p, the qty discount unit price is 87p.

Would it be possible though, to display prices with tax and add without tax, rather than show without tax and add with tax?

The reason I need this is because when automatic feeds are generated, the generated price is Ex VAT but a few of the sites I submit feeds to insist on a price field which includes VAT.

Would it be much work to swap it around? Can you point me in the right direction please?

Should not be a problem. I just need to make the Inc/Ex display a separate function- I'll add it to the next mod.

just worked out where to put this code but i am getting errors come up:

Failed: 1 ERROR: Cannot execute because table zencart.configuration does not exist. CHECK PREFIXES! Note: 1 statements ignored. See "upgrade_exceptions" table for additional details.

any ideas?

Copy and paste the following into Admin->Tools->Install SQL Patch.

The tags you are seeing with the underscores should be defined. As should be the styles.

i re installed the mod but i really don't know what to look for as iam learning as i go, can you break it down a little so i know where to go and what to look for, thanks, iam a bit green at this as you can tell.

Okay, make sure the defines file IncExTaxMods_define.php is copied to includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/custom/

and the stylesheet is missing- I will upload a new version. In the meantime, copy the attached file to includes/templates/YOUR CUSTOM FOLDER/css

done that, now how do i change the text to read Ex VAT & Inc VAT instead of whats there now & swap them around so Ex VAT is beneath Inc VAT

Eggrush- right now it's a bit of a hack to change the display of the Inc/Ex prices. It's on the wishlist for the next version.

Cool and thanks for going this far, i look forward to seeing an updated version with maybe these two things added:

being able to edit the text flow easier (above or below) point size/coluor of any line & to edit text on any line in laymans terms

in the product list before you go into the main item description just have the overall price priced displayed next to the product name ie: without any Ex Vat text (see previous post and link)
