Rescue Paks for ZenCart v1.3.7 and v1.3.8 attached.
How to use:
Just unzip the contents of the Rescue Pak and then copy them onto the ZenCart installation. Make sure that the files go into their corresponding folders.
If you have installed any mods that changes any of these core files then you will need to reinstall them. There is no need to reinstall the v1.1 IncExTaxMod as it no longer changes any of the core files.

hey
I installed this on three websites when Hem started developing it and got it to work...I updated the template yesterday and it was picking up PRICE_INC_TEXT or something along them lines next to the price. So I removed the code that was provided in the first few pages of this thread.
I thought it would be a better idea too install the new version (1.1.0) so I used the resuce file you provided just incase any of the older code was left over. I have also copy and pasted the re-write of SQL code into my patch bit.
My problem is even though I've uploaded all the files in 1.1.0 and set the option to display inc/ex tax, it's just displaying as it was before which is "price: xx.xx"
You'll see what you mean here ```

I'm probably missing a file or something I'm guessing but any help would be great

Graig- check the Display Prices with Tax option under Configuration->My Store. Make sure this is set to 'Ex/Inc' or 'Inc/Ex'

You need to apply the SQL patch- 2 is no longer a recognised option in v1.1.0

Hi Hem
Great Mod! :smile:
I just tried to install this mod.
The SQL bit didn't work. I have no db prefix set and found removing the database names worked:
From this:
UPDATE zencart.configuration SET configuration_description = 'Display prices with Tax?<br>
0= Display with tax excluded<br>
1= Display with tax included<br>
2= Display tax included AND excluded prices', set_function = 'zen_cfg_select_option(array(''0'', ''1'', ''2''),', configuration_value = '2'
WHERE zen_configuration.configuration_id =15;
>
> ```
UPDATE `configuration` SET `configuration_description` = 'Display prices with Tax?<br>
0= Display with tax excluded<br>
1= Display with tax included<br>
2= Display tax included AND excluded prices', set_function = 'zen_cfg_select_option(array(''0'', ''1'', ''2''),', `configuration_value` = '2'
WHERE `configuration`.`configuration_id` =15;
Also, the excluding VAT bit says 'Ex VAT', but most sites say 'Exc VAT'. I changed this in the IncExTaxMod_defines.php file.
Onwars and upwards. I owe you a beer.Trev
I've installed this SQL patch is this not correct?

If you are using v1.1.0 then the correct SQL is:
UPDATE `configuration` SET `configuration_description` = 'Display prices with Tax?<br>
Display with tax excluded (false)<br>
Display with tax included (true)<br>
Display prices with both tax included and then excluded prices (inc/ex)<br>
Display prices with both tax excluded and then included (ex/inc)<br>
', set_function = 'zen_cfg_select_option(array(\'false\', \'true\', \'inc/ex\', \'ex/inc\'),', `configuration_value`='ex/inc'
WHERE `configuration_key` ='DISPLAY_PRICE_WITH_TAX';

Hi, Brilliant mod and great timing.
Have a little problems. Is there a way of getting the VAT to display in the product index page or at least display the price including VAT.
Thanks

This is indeed a great mod - I was going to implement inc/ex VAT a while ago using the tips before they'd been rolled into a tasty mod.. glad I waited
Hem please PM me your paypal address and allow me to buy you a beer!

Hi, im in it again and don’t know where I went wrong.
I set up my test site, set up the mod and configured all the prices. The test site works great.
Tonight I have to move all this over to the live site. I put it on maintenance, backed everything up and then copy and pasted the includes folder except the config file. I did the database patch and then swopped the products field from the test web site into the live one. I was sure I had tested this before and I thought it had worked but tonight it hasn’t made the price changes. Everything else is in place but the products VAT settings aren’t even in admin.
Can anyone tell me what fields to move across, thought I had this sussed.
Thanks in advance
Totally Zenned
Hi Andrew (or any php boffins),
Firstly, many thanks for this mod (You should stick your PayPal address in the readme :smile:)
One question. I'm merging the changes in \includes\templates\uktemplate\sideboxes\tpl_shopping_cart.php but as I can't read code I wanted to check on the following in line 28 where yours has:
if (($_SESSION['new_products_id_in_cart']) && ($_SESSION['new_products_id_in_cart'] == $products[$i]['id'])) {
and the stock version has:
if (isset($_SESSION['new_products_id_in_cart']) && ($_SESSION['new_products_id_in_cart'] == $products[$i]['id'])) {
Is the missing "isset" intentional? I've searched online and found what it does, "isset is a function that takes any variable you want to use and checks to see if it has been set" but I'm a bit out of my depth here :blush:
Regards
Brent
