Display price with VAT/TAX and Ex VAT/TAX

One question. I'm merging the changes in \includes\templates\uktemplate\sideboxes\tpl_shopping_cart.php but as I can't read code I wanted to check on the following in line 28 where yours has:

  if (($_SESSION['new_products_id_in_cart']) && ($_SESSION['new_products_id_in_cart'] == $products[$i]['id'])) {

Is the missing "isset" intentional? I've searched online and found what it does, "isset is a function that takes any variable you want to use and checks to see if it has been set" but I'm a bit out of my depth here :blush:

Brent- you are correct. Proper code should see if the variable is 'isset' before checking it. However the first form should still work as the $_SESSION should still return NULL.

All installed and works like a dream :clap:

I manually hacked my V1.2.x stores to display the VAT by following instructions in other threads but I never got specials to calculate correctly. I've therefore been looking forward to trying your mod for a long time but have just not had a chance to get my act together to upgrade my store.

i have maybe a simple problem for you, but way dificult for me.
the Price is shown exc/incl corectly all the way to theShopping Cart Contents then we go thru Shipping Method and select the method we like
then we go Payment Method and from here the price is not shown correctly anymore, or at list i think so.

All the previus modifications have worked out good,
i will very much like this modification to, so the costumers dont gett confused.

As you can see on the shopin cart the product is 242 euro, but on the Payment Method the product become 194
and then the TAX/VAT is displayed on is own ( that is good in one way)
is it possible to display the incl/exc tax/vat on the Payment Method so it can be 194 exc vat / 242 incl vat

or maybe im the one that is confused here:shocking:, and the procedure is correct

If it is a company logged in, I prefer, that next to the price would be "VAT Exc".
And if it is a normal customer or a person - would be "VAT Inc".

I'm new to ZenCart and am currently configuing our new store at https://www.inter-bikeshop.co.uk using the current version. I have applied Andrew's module to display prices with and without VAT, but can't get it to work. The option appears in the admin panel and I've selected it to show prices Inc and Ex VAT.

To show prices with Tax is also switched on in Store Configuration. But nothing shows up in the store I still just get just the price displayed?

Can someone point me in the right direction to get this sorted.:dontgetit

I'm anxious to get this fix working, as being a UK store we must show prices with tax but ex tax to overseas customers.

Are you currently flagging whether a customer is a regular or a company (say using a different mod)??? If so then it would be easy enough to modify the display function to check to see which prices is displayed.

Hi, been using this mod for about a couple of months and only just noticed that it’s not charging VAT on shipping. Been reading through this thread and although it’s mentioned a couple of times, I’m not sure what to do about it.

Yes, but I did not create that. VAT for Euro Comp mod asking for a VAT number and that means it is a company. And then another mod Customer Tax Ex mod is flagging them for "a prove". I put a link in a previous message, how it looks.

Hello, i have installed this mod couple weeks ago, but now when i want to start my shop i found problem:

Total Price in shopping cart is displayed without VAT, i made changes from install.txt, is says:

4. Delete the class reference '$currencies->' from both lines so they read:

But this works ony for simple items, total price is still displayed without VAT.

I have installed this mod on my v1.3.8 cart it works fine when not logged in, the display shows includex & excluded prices, but when the customer logs in both prices are the pre-vat prices (lower price), I have checked through the previous posts with no luck, I have tried installing the Rescue Pak1.3.8 again the same???

Please can someone advise as I am almost ready to go live.
