Display price with VAT/TAX and Ex VAT/TAX

Hi,

Firstly thank you for all the effort put into this mod - it looks fab and perfect for what I have been looking for!

When I try and install the mod, however, my site bombs to blank page with this error:

[03-Apr-2009 10:22:13] PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare zen_get_products_display_price() (previously declared in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/shop.informal-it.co.uk/httpdocs/shop/includes/functions/functions_prices.php:156) in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/shop.informal-it.co.uk/httpdocs/shop/includes/functions/extra_functions/inc_ex_functions.php on line 13

So, I dutifully commented out lines 256=>294 from includes/functions/functions_prices.php and now the site comes up, but only INC VAT pricing works, if I choose Both, Ex VAT pricing is not displayed...

The only thing Is I am running SitewideMarkup - but this doesn't install includes/functions/functions_prices.php - therefore I am stuck and worried about how to cirrectly install this mod.

Hi,
I get the same error as Hem with this new version: blank page until inc_ex_functions.php is removed/changed for the old version.
My cart is 1.38a with all patches.

Check out the FAQ in the readme. I've uploaded a fixed version to my website so use that instead.

I hadn't registered the need for the FAQ since I hadn't made any changes to the file "inc_ex_functions.php" which seems to have the function un-commented by default...

Also, the ex-vat prices 'weren't showing' because background & text colour were clashing. What a n00b. Sorry.

So, it's in and looking good!

Nah- not your fault. I hadn't deactivated that function before uploading.

Had to post to say a huge 'thanks' to Hem for all the work on this add-on. Worked a treat and will soon be part of our new shop.

Just one question - probably my setup somewhere, but when I change 'Display Prices With Tax' to 'inc/ex' in admin, I get the position changed but not the amounts. In other words an item will display as £10.86 inc VAT and £12.49 ex VAT. Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

i realise that it's a bit late and that i may have missed it somewhere throughout the thread, but i was wondering whether this mod worked with zen cart 1.3.7? (the install text says tested on 1.3.8...)

Someone did test it with 1.3.7 awhile back and got it working.

Q. How do I use the inc/ex display method and display the items in the Shopping Cart so show prices including taxes?

A. Again it means changing a core file:

1. Backup includes\modules\pages\shopping_cart\header_php.php
2. Edit includes\modules\pages\shopping_cart\header_php.php
3. Find the following two lines:

$productsPrice = $currencies->display_price($products[$i]['final_price'], zen_get_tax_rate($products[$i]['tax_class_id']), $products[$i]['quantity']) . ($products[$i]['onetime_charges'] != 0 ? '<br />' . $currencies->display_price($products[$i]['onetime_charges'], zen_get_tax_rate($products[$i]['tax_class_id']), 1) : '');

Good question- I only coded it as a browser display mod; I never even looked at the print/email side.

Hi, i installed the mod, everything seems to display correctly, unless i show prices with VAT included.

Prices show fine in product info, product listings etc, but when i add to cart. In the Side box it displays £0.00 inc vat

Any help will be very much appreciated thanks :bigups:
