I installed IH2 on two sites, after the Fual Slimbox and it seems to work fine.I have these two on several sites as well.. But there is a new version of IH2 (dated July 16, 2009) in the downloads section which appears to mess up Fual Lightbox if you install it after the Fual lightbox was installed.. (hence why I posted my suggestion..) I believe that kashyyyk is using that version of IH2. I'll test again, but last night I was playing around with the last IH2 download available on my test store. When I installed it over Fual Ligtbox, the popup replaced the lightbox effect when clicking the main product image.. When I re-istalled Fual Lightbox, everything went back to normal..

This is a slight bigger problem.
It seems that you tried twice to patch your database.

So.. you can try this:

1. Open your database in phpMyAdmin
2. Click on configuration table and browse it
3. Find all lines with configuration_key that states FUAL_SLIMBOX_* and check configuration_group_id number

All FUAL_SLIMBOX_* lines should have the same number.
( for example 36 )
Then...

4. Click on configuration_group table and browse it
5. Find line where is Fual Slimbox and see what number is in configuration_group_id.
   ( It should be 36 )
6. If differs, ( if it is 35 for example ) then you should go back to configuration table and change configuration_group_id number for all FUAL_SLIMBOX_* lines to a proper number ( this would be 35 in this example )

This should solve your problem.

Alternative solution:
You could:

1. Delete all lines in configuration with FUAL_SLIMBOX_* configuration_key and line ine configuration_group with configuration_title : Fual Slimbox.
2. Make a fresh new patch with your SQL installation file.

I followed your instructions precisely. But nowhere in the configuration table i could find SLIMBOX entries.
i did find one SLIMBOX entry in the configuration_group table. I deleted it and tried to install everthing over. i got the same error again. this is driving me crazy. I did install light box in other installations with succes, but i think in this installation there is a conflict with one my plug ins.

anybody any tips still for me? please?!

when executing the SQL patch, the script is not inserting values regarding slim_box at all in the configuration_table
all lines are dropped because configuration_key would supposedy be present in the confirguration table (which is not true, no values of slimbox are present, i UN-installed everything)

Well I found a problem between Fual Slimbox and Image Handler 2.

With Fual Slimbox off, when I place my cursor over the image my staus bar shows the javascript pop up link. An example-

Thanks DanI explained this already, and perhaps I wasn't clear.. so let me state this again very explicitly. IF you installed the July 19, 2009 version of Image Handler - ESPECIALLY the "Optional Extras" files - the "Optional Extras" files will BREAK Fual Lightbox PERIOD.. Based on the behavior you are describing, I'd be awfully surprised if that's not EXACTLY what is going on..

ckosloff and I spent quite a bit of time this weekend testing this, and have confirmed that the "Optional Extras" included with the ** July 19, 2009 version of Image Handler** will not only break this lightbox contribution but Zen Lightbox as well.. In all likelyhood because of what the files in the "Optional Extras" folders are meant to do there is NO WAY they WOULD NOT break a lightbox contribution..

If you want to test what I am saying checkout your products with additional images.. IF the additional images open in the lightbox, but the light box IGNORES your main product image you will see what I mean..

To fix this, you will need to remove ALL the IH2 files (ESPECIALLY the "Optional Extras" files), you will then need to re-install IH2 (PLEASE use the version from January 2009) THEN re-upload the Fual Lightbox files.. If you do this then everything should work as it's supposed to..

DanYou would NOT install the IH2 for Zen Cart 1.2.7 over a Zen Cart 1.3.8 install..

Uninstall EVERYTHING and start over..

You need to be SURE which version of IH2 you downloaded.. So I suggest that you go back to the downloads section and download the version dated Jan 16 2009 (It's the version BELOW the current available version) If you scroll through the WHOLE IH2 for 1.3.x page you will see the previous versions of the mod..

Replace the file
Your_Template/templates/tpl_modules_main_product_image.php with the one from
default_template/templates (simply copy this over to your template folder)

Replace the file
includes/modules/main_product_image.php with a fresh copy of this file from your Zen Cart install files

Re-install IH2 and Fual Slimbox.. (doesn't matter which order..)

I would like to know if there is a way to call up the lightbox from a thumbnail in content. I have another website using joomla that uses a really nice slimbox utility where you can set the thumbnail size. In joomla you call the slimbox with a little string of code that looks like this

{yoogallery src=[/images/stories/] width=[100]}

So you can tell it to open whatever image you want. See screen shot of my page. Look at the image. I would liek that to open in full size with slimbox when clicked.

When i click on the main image ( This image was added when i created the product), the lightbox picture is really big, and the border around the image looks inconsistant.
For example there is no border on the left.

When i click on red ( This picture was added with Ajax image swapper manager) than click on the image the lightbox opens out jerky, small and still no border on the left.

When the lightbox is open & scroll up & down the dimmed background also breaks up.

Also there is a green arrow under the main image, how would i get rid of this?

How can I vertical "center" the Slimbox image on the page? I thought this was done automatically? I already tried adding "top: 50%;" and "vertical-align: middle;" css and so on but it does not work!? I also tried searching for this on the forum, but didn't get any results.

I've installed Fual's Slimbox Mod to my Zencart 1.3.8 and have the following problem:

Main Product image opens but when I click on the "next" link to view the additional products images the lightbox box gets the spinner as if its loading but nothing happens. I have tried both Safari and Firefox and am sure that its not my browsers, i have also tried deleting the large/ from the additional images.php file as somebody had suggested way back in this thread. I think I've read this whole thread at least twice and can't find a solution. I would love if somebody could help me on this as I have only installed two other mods on my site and had no problems with either. For background info, those mods are ez-populate and column layout grid. I did previously try to install zen lightbox but failed miserably several times so I made sure that I uninstalled the SQL completely and deleted all of the files from my site before installing the slimbox.

I am grateful to have found this mod and would really appreciate if the people who know way more than me could give me a hand with it.

for anyone who is not a developer, but wants to use different language on this tool, i'll write this down here, so it may help anyone who come accross this.

Replacing the images Close, Prev and Next should be easy enough, i will not eleborate on this here.

However, different key's to match the Capital letter in your language is slightly more comlicated, so here is how:

Open the includes\templates\YOUR_TEMPLATE_FOLDER\jscript\slimbox\uncompressed\slimbox_ex.js
in your favorite editor, maybe notepad.
find:

In the above example i have allready added keycodes S for close, T for prev, and V for next.

Now copy the entire contents of this file and open http://dean.edwards.name/packer/
Paste in the appropriate section and mark both base62 encoding & shrink variables to match the current format of the comressed js.

make a backup of includes\templates\YOUR_TEMPLATE_FOLDER\jscript\slimbox\slimbox_ex.compressed.js if you like and then create a new file with the contents you grabbed from the dean website and name it slimbox_ex.compressed.js

overwrite the original in includes\templates\YOUR_TEMPLATE_FOLDER\jscript\slimbox\slimbox_ex.compressed.js
and thats it.

In my tests, i had no issues with browser cache, the new keys worked on the first load of a new instance of slimbox.

I have IH2 installed and no additional image handling mods.

After installing FLB to the letter, I was having issues with the LB not working. The only change that occurred after the FLB install was that the large image opens as a full screen page just as if I had clicked on Conditions of Use or the S&H Policy page link.

I go to the IH2 Admin and find the "Install Image Handler" staring at me. What the heck?? I click on it and it installs.
Now I'm thinking that somehow I had inadvertently clicked on the "Remove IH from the Database" link.

Back to Fual. I am now thinking FLB wasn't working properly because the IH2 database was removed accidentally so, I uninstall the FLB database and then reinstall it only to find that the "Install Image Handler" link has returned to the IH2 Admin panel.

Anyone else run into this issue before? Sorry so wordy, I am a consummate over-explainer.

I'm using the most current version of zen-cart, the apple-zen template, and have IH2 installed. Slimbox works fine--except I can not see the Prev and Next buttons using IE. ZC 1.3.8a, IH2 installed and working, just installed Fual. No other galleries or lightbox addons.

I cannot get the light box to function.
I've checked and double check, even compared that code with a site where it does work and they seem exact.

I installed according to the instructions. When I run sql-patch in the admin area of Zen-cart - I receive the following error:

"Error ERROR: Cannot insert configuration_key "" because it already exists"

So all the information that should be there is not implemented - is it possible to add this manualy or?

First store, first zen-cart post, first attempt at an Add-on module.

I've installed zen-cart 1.3.8a on WIN XP under XAMPP for now and have been able to customize things a bit by following along in Gon Koon Hoek's e-Start book.

I've tried to install this module for the last 2 days and am at wits end </rant>.

I don't understand the Install instructions where it says to simply
"...# Copy the "includes" directory over to your ZenCart root directory .... "

I already have an "includes" directory in my zen-cart root so I assume something else is being inferred here.
I'm assuming my zen-cart root is at xampp\htdocs\shop (where shop in the name of my store and all other zen-cart files live.

I've done this to the unzipped module download -

Rename all the YOUR-TEMPLATE-FOLDER's to the name of your template:

* includes/modules/YOUR-TEMPLATE-FOLDER
* includes/templates/YOUR-TEMPLATE-FOLDER

My template folder is called "magic". I have a magic folder sprinkled about the zen-cart dir tree structure which has allowed me to make the simple customizations I mentioned above.

The SQL cmds seemed to work ok and I can find the Admin controls for this under Configuration/Fual Slimbox.

I do not have the "base" lightbox module installed (unless it gets installed out of the box).

At the moment when I click on a product image to enlarge it I get a small popup window with an error stating "object not found" but I'm sure I don't have things installed correctly.

Can someone please clarify what/where/how I need to place this mod's install files into my current dir structure to get this to work ?
