I went ahead and install Fual Slimbox (Lightbox).
A bit worried that it might not work well with the other mods that I've installed.
But if you take a look at my link below. You can see it in action.

Wonderful mod!

Thank you!

Re: Fual Slimbox (Lightbox) - Ver 1.0 Support

OK I have installed this on my site and it works fine BUT I have a rogue dot that shows up when I click on my Larger Image Hyperlink.

Does not appear if I use the original tpl_modules_main_product_image.php page.

It is more of an annoyance really but has to go.

Any suggestions? site https://www.scrappybitz.com.au

And my store is Scrappybitz

Re: Fual Slimbox (Lightbox) - Ver 1.0 Support

Hi,

I installed slimbox and it works fine for the multiple images, but not for the main product image: it's still a pop-up.

I use the classic template with a minor reshuffle in template_default/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php so that the multiple images come above the attributes.

Does somebody knows what can be the problem/solution?

Thanx in advance,
Bas

I am using the template Apple Zen. I have tried and tried to get Fual Slimbox to work with it and it won't. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've uninstalled an re-installed several times.

Hi,

I posted this yesterday:

I set today my /includes directory to chmod 777 and the problem is solved.

Re: Fual Slimbox (Lightbox) - Ver 1.0 Support

Slimbox and Gift Certificate Mod

I've installed Slimbox along with the Cherry Zen template and it works like a champ on regular products. I also installed the Gift Certificate Mod and there's the problem. My product images don't show at all on the page. In looking at the code generated, I can see that it is very different than my regular product pages. This leads me to believe that I need to put Slimbox code in another directory location in my site. Would someone provide some guidance on what needs to be copied/changed/updated to get Slimbox and the Gift Certificate mod to work together?

Thanks

Re: Fual Slimbox (Lightbox) - Ver 1.0 Support

Hi All,

Sorry if this has been asked before but I'm going blind looking for the answer.

I have the lightbox installed fine and working but for some reason I cant get multiple pictures up.

I have tried both adding the suffix myself, and am currently using image handler 2...again not giving me multiple pictures.

I'm sure it is something I'm doing wrong but I wondered if someone could give me any pointers?

The site is http://www.lpcfurniture.co.uk

Thanks in advance

~Paul

Re: Fual Slimbox (Lightbox) - Ver 1.0 Support

TheHYPO:

One of the reasons I got slimbox was to be able to view additional images without having thumbnails of them all sitting in the product info page.

However, I've found that the slimbox fails to display the additional images if I kill the additional images box from my product_info page (both stopping it from calling the module, and stopping the module from calling the columnar_display cause slimbox to only display the primary image).

Is there any way to kill the thumbnails but not kill the images in slimbox? If I knew how slimbox finds and calls the additional images, I could probably figure this out myself, but I'm not sure how it gets its image list.

Thanks.

Hi Guys!

I have exactly same problem. Can any one please answer this question. I can see so far no one has answered this question.

Thanks,

Umar

Re: Fual Slimbox (Lightbox) - Ver 1.0 Support

If I understood you well, you don't want to show additional images, but you want to show them in slide show, when you open large main image.

Well, you get addtional thumbnail images, when you name the main image like this.

  • YourMainImageName.jpg ( this one is main image )
  • YourMainImageName_01.jpg ( this one is additional )
  • YourMainImageName_02.jpg ( this one is additional )
and all of this images should be in the same folder.
    Example: Images/yourfoldername/
To enable showing large images in slide show with Fual Slimbox,
you should have the same images in folder:

images/large/yourfoldername/
-YourMainImageName_01_LRG.jpg ( additional image to show )
-YourMainImageName_02_LRG.jpg ( -"- )

Now try this ( I didn't try it so I don't know exactly if this works, but this is just an idea )

So IF you want to kill thumbnails, you delete additional images associated with your main image, but leave images in images/large/yourfoldername/
with suffix LRG.

If you use imagehandler 2 I think it will automatically make the same, but optimized images in it's cache folder.

I hope the first part will be helpfull to PaulK too.

Re: Fual Slimbox (Lightbox) - Ver 1.0 Support

I have tried Slimbox - & it's brilliant.

I only have problem - the expanded image is larger than my 1024 x 768 screen, so you have to scroll around to find the 'close button' - not very user-friendly.

I'm setting up a shop for someone else, & suspect that I simply need to reduce the resolution of the original images to fix this.

Can anyone confirm this - or suggest a better solution, please?

PS - I'm using ZC 1.3.8, Image Handler & a custom template.

Thanks - sometimes the solution is so obvious you need a reality check to actually see it!

Re: Fual Slimbox (Lightbox) - Ver 1.0 Support

Excellent contrib!

I was hoping that someone has been able to tweak this to work with the latest standard mootool js framework?

I would like to use several other mootools effects (banner slider, accordion menus, etc.), but will not work with the modified mootools js used for slimbox and slimbox will not work using the standard mootools js.

It kinda locks you out of any other options...

I like to keep using slimbox because of the excellent handling of the slow DOM load issues!

Any suggestion would be helpful!

Thanks
