Fual Slimbox (Lightbox) - Ver 1.0 Support

I need some assistance on an issue.. On my dev site EVERYTHING works perfectly.. But I now that I have moved the site over to the production server to go live, the main product images no longer shows on ANY products.

I've already completely uninstalled Fual Slimbox, reversed the DB entries needed to support it, and did a fresh install of the mod. No joy.. As SOON as I installe dit the product images stopped working.. If I disable Fual Slimbox from the admin, the product images work.. If I change the "Paranoia Mode" settings in the admin to 0, the product image appears, BUT when you click the "Larger Image" link, the image opens up in the same window instead of a lightbox or popup..

I have NEVER had an issue with this add-on before.. In fact I've recently decided to make it a part of my standard Zen install for all of my clients.. I just recently launched another site using this add-on, and everything there works fine. I don't want to turn this off or uininstall it, but I'm plum out of ideas here.. Any help would be appreciated..Turns out that the DNS preview prevents some scripts from running/loading in preview mode.. Once I flipped the switch on the DNS everything worked as it should..

The last five sites I launched (all within the last two weeks) all have this add-on and the tabbed pro add-on working together.. So I don't think there's any conflicts between these two add-ons.. (All 5 sites also have ImageHandler running on them as well)

Yes it has something to do with tabbed pro. If I remove the tabbed_products_pro from the module and remove the fscript_tbb from the script the slimbox will work. It has something to do with jquery maybe but I am not an expert in javascripts so Iam hoping someone who knows what I can do will be able to assist me.

I honestly think you may have gotten something wrong in your installation of one or both of these add-ons. I did NOTHING special to my installations and I have both mods working together on 5 websites... (10 if you count the development sites).. I have a basic loaded version of ZenCart I used to create these sites. I posted my suggestions to you in this thread.. http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpost.php?p=663794&postcount=620

Bottomline is that you are probably gonna probably have to do a little work to help troubleshoot your problem.. Unless there is a KNOWN conflict between these two add-ons, you will probably have to do a little troubleshooting on a vanilla ZenCart install to help narrow the issue down..

when i click on image to see it larger, it replaces the window with another window so you have to hit the back button to go back to the product page. it does not open the larger image in a lightbox.

did anyone find the solution to this problem (either install problem or conflicting mod)???

thanks.If you have LOTS of mods it will be difficult for others to figure out what the root cause of the issue is... (By the way listing the mods you have MIGHT help provide the community with some clues/insight into your issue)

I know it sucks, and can be tedious, but you are probably gonna have to do some troubleshooting on your own to get to the bottom of this..

If you've already tried un-installing and re-installing ANY modules you think may be in conflict, and you still have issues, I would try installing a second Zen Cart into new folder. Then try adding your mods back one by one until you recreate the issue.. Then you would check to see if removing the potentially offending mod resolves the issue. If you suspect any specific mods as being the root cause, you might wanna start with installing those 1st to confirm the issue/conflict..

Once you know WHICH mod, it may be the first step towards resolving the issue.. Been there done that.. So I know it's not fun.. HTH

fyi, i don't know if you have the ajax image swapper mod installed, but i do (and fual slimbox) was installed with it. and everything looks fine in FF but is completely broken in IE7...

categories dressingImage Handler is a likely culprit.. In my experience with troubleshooting issues Zen issues (and I haven't had many), I found on a few occasions issues which seem to be tied to something conflicting with Image Handler.. Including an issue with a missing DB entry which we suspect was caused by Image Handler which caused the Improved Attributes Controller mod to go wonky.. (yeah I know.. go figure..:laugh:)

Once Image Handler is installed and cookin' it's REALLY all good, but when it goes bad?? I need some Merlot and a lot of it!!! :laugh::laugh: If it were me.. I'd do a test install of Zen Cart, and install Fual Slimbox.. Test to see if it works correctly.. then I'd add Ajax Image Swapper to the mix.. test the two mods, see if everything looks & acts kosher.. and THEN install Image Handler and see if anything blows up.. After then try adding your Cherry template to the mix.. Then after that I'd re-install the remaining mods back in this order:

• tabbed products pro
• short description for categories
• smart backgrounds
• categories dressing
  I suspect that your issue is probably in some "dispute" your three image mods are having with one another..:laugh::laugh:

follow up: the conflict was between fual slimbox and google analytics of all things... the scripts were not playing nicely together.

after removing google analytics, slimbox started working. but i still have a few questions...

1. is the blue outline around the product image always a fixed size (no matter what size the product image is)?

2. in IE7 the cursor does not change when you mouse over the product image and thus does not indicate the image can be clicked for a larger image. how do i change that?

3. how would i add the text click for a larger image to the product image box?

Glad you got to the root of the issue..:clap: I just spent this weekend trying to get two scripts to play nicely together.. I can't tell you how many "do overs" I had before I got to the heart of the answer.. Fortunately I have a very separate install of Zen cart for this kind of troubleshooting.. When I'm done, I "reset" it back to a virgin state..

the green arrow to move forward and backward through the additional images.
so for example... if you have 6 additional images, but only show 3 at a time, there is a green arrow to move back and forth through the images...

my bad... the arrow is from ais... i installed both mods at the same time and i was looking in the wrong mod... :blush:

This question has been asked before somewhere in this thread but never answered.
It seems that a lot of people use their browsers back button to close the lightbox, instead it takes them to the previous page.

and tried to incorporate a part of the jscript (dhtmlHistory.js) in my templates jscript folder but it doesn't work. Has anyone tried to figure this out yet or is there another solution?
