This is a known bug in Zen Cart 1.3.x and 1.5.x. This happens when you enable Zen Cart's persistent "SQL Cache". It affects Zen Cart itself and any plugin which is aware of (and can use) Zen Cart's "SQL Cache".
Two ways exist to handle the bug:
- Disable the persistent "SQL Cache". In most cases it is not needed. The "SQL Cache" and "Query Cache" built into Zen Cart 1.5.1 are separate and disabling one will not affect the other. One can disable the "SQL Cache" by editing the two configure.php files and setting SQL_CACHE_METHOD to none.
- One can apply the patch to their Zen Cart installation.

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
I am running 1.5.1
I am having some issues with edit orders that I need fixed.
I can delete/add products but I the subtotal doesn't adjust. I also can’t adjust the shipping total or add a discount coupon. I try, hit update and it goes to a blank page. When I go back and access order again, there is no change. I had a customer cancel part of an order so his shipping needs adjusted and I can’t do it. I tried both changing the shipping charge (didn’t work) and then I tried to do a discount coupon to adjust the total (again, didn’t work). Any ideas how to get this to work?

What version of Edit Orders??
When you get a blank page there is likely an error log that was created.. what does the error log file say?? What other modules do you have installed??

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Hello again,
The cache fixed solved my problem. But I use table discounts to do 90 percent of our store.
I am trying to take off $99 from an invoice. Which I was able to do. But with this new plugin my Table discounts dont show up right inside the invoices.
Sub-Total: $2,915.50
United States Postal Service (Priority Mail International®): $96.14
Table Discounts: $1,356.00
Discount Coupon: Credit : $99.00
Total: $2,912.64
That should be alot smaller of a total.
Any ideas? I tried looking for a solution but cant seem to find one.

version is EDIT ORDERS 4.1.2, Zen Cart 1.5.1
Ok the error was this:
[10-Oct-2013 10:15:32 America/New_York] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function GetRewardPoints() in /home/creative/public_html/includes/modules/order_total/ot_reward_points_display.php on line 40
Thing is that the rewards mod doesn't touch the code in the admin that I know of. Other mods (I have a lot) are Adv Shipper Mod, Rewards Mod, Monthly Sales...those are the big ones.
I also wanted to note that although I can add or delete products, the subtotal does not change. The product pricing will but the subtotal stays the same as the original order

Ummm, but clearly it affects order totals which means when you administer orders, errors could indeed show up in the admin -- otherwise you wouldn't get this error message, right???
The "call to an undefined function" error says that the issue is possibly with your Rewards Points module.. I would take a look at your Rewards Points module and make sure it's installed correctly..
So going back to my original response to you requesting more information.. you still haven't answered:
What other modules do you have installed??

Your previous response was a bit vague specifically "Adv Shipper Mod, Rewards Mod". Ceon Advanced Shipper is better.. (more specific) However there are two Rewards Points mods that I am aware of.. Which one do you have installed??

It should take away from the subtotal. Instead its added in to the total. So instead of the total only being around $1000. Its almost $3000

Didn't know where were two...sorry
Reward Point Full Suite
I was able to go into the database and correct the totals but when they were corrected, it also shifted the arrangement of the items. Previously you would have SubTotal, Shipping, Coupon, Total and then Reward Points. After database change, the order is now Shipping,Rewards Points,SubTotal, Total and then Coupon. Only the order changed in the database has this change in invoice order. For the meantime, I'm hoping it's isolated to this one order and leaving it be (unless you have a suggestion). I have to leave town for a week but will post again if problem keeps happening

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Hello
I am having a problem with Edit Orders.
When we go to edit the quantity amount in an order, it will delete items from the order that have a .5 quantity amount. .5 is our minimum order amount on many items. This happened on an order where there were 8 line items ordering .5 and 3 line items with larger amounts, when she adjusted the larger amount from 3 to 2 and hit update, it removed the line items that had .5 (unadjusted) in the quantity amount.
I looked through the thread and didn't see anything that could help.

Try making the following change (to Edit Orders 4.1.2) and let us know if it solves the problem for you (if you report it fixes the issues - the code will be added to the next release of Edit Orders).
Edit "/admin/edit_orders.php". Around line 245 change the int cast to a float cast. The original code looks like:
Code:
$_POST['update_products'] = zen_db_prepare_input($_POST['update_products']);
foreach($_POST['update_products'] as $orders_products_id => $product_update) {
$product_update['qty'] = (int) $product_update['qty'];
After making your changes the code should look like:
Code:
$_POST['update_products'] = zen_db_prepare_input($_POST['update_products']);
foreach($_POST['update_products'] as $orders_products_id => $product_update) {
$product_update['qty'] = (float) $product_update['qty'];

If an error occurs in an Order Total module such as "reward points" it will cause problems with order totals in "Edit Orders". The most common issue we see with Order Total modules is many are not coded to work when loaded in the Zen Cart admin interface. This is documented in the readme.
Most likely your "reward points" module includes some additional files (such as extra_functions) which are not available to the admin (and not loaded on the fly by the order total module at runtime if needed). Easiest solution would be to copy the relevant files (probably a file in "/includes/functions" or "/includes/functions/extra_functions") to the corresponding location on the admin side of Zen Cart.

The "Table Discounts" module is commercial. I do not own a copy of the module and as such am not able to look at the source code to determine the exact cause of the problem.
By default the order total values are passed to and from the Zen Cart database untouched... So if they are entered as negative they stay negative and if they are entered as positive they are left as positive... Which works for about 85% of order total modules.
Some order total modules do need special handling if the modules expect certain global variables or session variables to be populated. It is possible "Table Discounts" is one of these modules will require some special handling. Without knowing the special handling required... It will be hard for us to help you.

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
I am having a bit of an issue with adding edit order to my Zen Cart install. My problem is that after I have it installed it seems to function normally with the exception that it does not recalculate and additions or subtractions from the order total. Even after using the manual update button no changes are happening to the total. I have already tried an uninstall and re-install of edit orders. This is a newly installed Zen Cart store with only test items. Hopefully someone will have a suggestion.
Here is what I have installed.
Zen Cart 1.5.1
edit orders 4.1.2
easy populate 1.5
quantity discounts 1.12
payment module fee
admin login as customer 3.1
admin new order 1.4
add customers from admin 2.0.5
ckeditor 4.1.2

Going to "guess" this is an incompatibility between "Edit Orders" and "Quantity Discounts". "Quantity Discounts" does not fully support being loaded and run from the admin interface (for good reason) and at this time no "special" handling has been added to "Edit Orders" for the "Quantity Discounts" order total module.
Just to double check:
- Is there thre anything in the Zen Cart debug logs or server error logs?
- If you disable "Quantity Discounts" does everything work?
- Are "ot_subtotal" and "ot_total" enabled?
-

Thanks for the reply.
It does not help to disable "Quantity Discounts". Both "ot_subtotal" and "ot_total" are enabled. I will look in the logs to see if it shows anything. I have setup a second test site and have loaded edit orders and it works. So now I am working through each additional module that to see which one kills edit orders. I will post when that is done in-case it may help someone else.

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
I've tried in a test install to use all Edit Orders files and did not merge with other mods just to be sure I have all in place for this mod to work. Same result. Can't select any attributes when adding new products. Screws up items already on order with attributes too. If I adjust the unit price of an item, the totals are wrong. I think it just keeps adding the price to the total every time I update with a corrected unit price.

Did you try a test install with a VANILLA Zen Cart install.. because I cannot repeat this issue.. and since no one else has really reported this issue it leads me to believe it's an as of yet undiscovered issue with your particular setup.. The easiest way to test that is to install a vanilla Zen Cart install (with the test/demo data) and see if you get the same result..
The key to troubleshooting this is to start by narrowing down some of the differences between your store and a stock Zen Cart install with Edit Orders installed..
-
Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Ok, I'm with you on this one. So what is vanilla Zen Cart install? Just an install with demo products? I was going to try a new install and take my 1.3.9a db and then upgrade and see if the Edit Order works on it with no other mods applied. I want to see if anything is wrong with my db carried over from 1.3.9a. But I must say it worked fine with edit order in 1.3.9a.

Yes an install with demo products.. I am suggesting that the issue here is unique to your store (otherwise this would be a much more widespread issue..), and the best way for you to see this is to do a vanilla install then install Edit Orders so you can see that things do work correctly.. After this you should replace the v1.5.x DB from your vanilla install with your 1.3.9 database (JUST THE DB, NOT the v1.3.9 files), and run the upgrade install to update the DB to v1.5.x, and then test again and see if Edit Orders works..
I suspect that the issue here isn't Edit Orders, but rather something has gone awry in your 1.3.9 to 1.5.x conversion.. (likely that you are still using files from a codebase preceding v1.5.x..) This exercise will confirm this..
-
Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Reporting back on new install with test product and only edit order installed. Seems to work as it should.
Restored 1.3.9a db where old edit order was working, did db upgrade to 1.5.1 and re-uploaded 3_install to trigger db install. Testing an existing order and I have the same problem as in my live stores. I run multiple stores and all have the issue. It's in my db. Seems to be a mod I installed on an older zen version but just now in 1.5.1 it shows up as a problem in combination with the new Edit Orders. How can I look at my db to find the problem?

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Greetings! I'm on Zen-cart 1.5.1, and Edit Orders 4.1.2.
PHP Version: 5.4.11 (Zend: 2.4.0) PHP Memory Limit: 90M
Database: MySQL 5.1.56-log
I realize that file uploads are not supported when editing an order which I'm fine with. As the source indicates, PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_TYPE_FILE: TODO in edit_orders.php. My problem however, is when the initial order is placed, and has a file uploaded, that entry makes it into mysql as a product attribute just fine, and all works well. If I attempt to edit the order in any fashion with Edit Order, that product attribute is stripped out of the database as soon as any update is made to any other fields in the order.
Is there a code snippet or some work around to have Edit Order, even if unable to edit such fields, at least pass them through untouched back into the database when the order update re-writes everything back to mysql?
Thanks for your support!

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Is there a general way to give a one-off discount, say $20.00 on an edited order. I have a client who used previous versions of Edit Orders and indicates that he used to be able to simply enter -20.00 (not quite sure where) on the Edit Orders screen to effect the discount.

Hi,
I'm using Zen Cart 1.5 and I'm having an issue with Edit Orders (v.4.1.2) and the module Order Total.
Here's the problem, when I edit an order (example add a product) Edit Orders recalcul my tax in a wrong way.
Here what I'm having before the update : Attachment 13282
And what happend after the update : Attachment 13283
Any idea how to resolve that ? I'm at your disposal if you need more information. Thank you in advance for your answer.

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Small defect in comment handling - if no other changes are made, comments are not saved. Fix for version 4.1.2 is in admin/edit_orders.php line 147 - add a check of $comments to the conditional clause:
Code:
if(($check_status->fields['orders_status'] != $status) || zen_not_null($track_id) || zen_not_null($comments)) {
-
Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Yup, that change is already integrated in the next version (still beta). The posted comment fix and the fix for fractional quantities are falling a bit behind in this thread!
Hoping to find time to at least look into passing through upload attributes (not full support) before the next release...
-
Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Defects in handling attributes which are grids: If you use Absolute's Product Attributes Grid module
http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=618
You need to make two changes in admin/edit_orders.php. Search in that file for PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_TYPE_SELECT:
Right after it, add the line
case 23997: // GRID
So you'll have
Code:
case PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_TYPE_SELECT:
case 23997: // GRID
Line numbers for Edit Orders 4.1.2 are 895 and 1474.

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Maintainers of Edit Orders: To make my stuff (Better Together, Quantity Discounts, Table Discounts, etc.) work with Edit Orders, you need to populate the cart. Right now $_SESSION['cart']->get_products(); returns an empty array. I traced this from edit_orders_functions.php l 1090.

Just installed COWOA and merged all core files however now my edit orders screen is completely blank. Any ideas or has anyone had this issue? Running Zen Cart 1.5.0 and edit orders 4.1.2.
Thanks

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
I am running both on zen 1.5.1 and have no issues. Maybe check proper placement of all files.
-
Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
I have done that. I am going to try and restore from my backup before COWOA and see if I was having the problem and just didn't realize it.
From what I can see the two mods only share one common file admin/orders.php

Blank screen means an error log was probably generated. Check your /cache folder.

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Okay so I have uploaded the backup before I installed COWOA and it fixed the problem. Sounds like they aren't wanting to play nice with each other. I'm going to check the error logs as suggested.

They "play" just fine together so long as you merge the common file correctly.. Post the results of your error logs.. it sounds as if you borked somethign in merging the one common file..

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Okay, so after I uploaded the backup I used the SQL uninstall for COWOA and then I re-installed the SQL patch, turned on COWOA, and it has no problems. I did this all without re-uploading COWOA. In short I have no idea what fixed it but it is fixed. May have been the file placement as suggested before. The only errors I am finding in my error logs are actually related to Authorize.NET mod. That's another can of worms for another day.
Thanks for responses.

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Hi, Edit order has an issue with Reward Point full 2.1b
It works great until You try to save an adited order. After hitting update You got a blank page. If You go back and check you will see that the Total of the order had not changed even if the single quantity of a product had been changed.
here the error code:
[08-Nov-2013 11:13:02 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function GetRewardPoints() in C:\wamp\www\negozio152\includes\modules\order_total\ot_reward_points_display.php on line 40

If someone figure it out please help, meanwhile I'll look for a solution

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
I could have *sworn* I posted the fix for this but I don't see it right now after a quick search. But here it is:
For people running Rewards Points *and* Edit Orders, you must copy the file
includes/functions/extra_functions/reward_points_functions.php
to
admin/includes/functions/extra_functions/reward_points_functions.php

Also, although this was an example of a local installation, the actual name of the admin directory should be obfuscted. My suggestion would be to always list as admin if displayed in a forum.
Also to aid in trouble shooting problems similar to this, a search of files for the function names like the one that was identified as "missing" would have shown that the function was in the store's include directory and not in the admin directory's includes directory leading to the fix posted by swguy.

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Hi sorry to point It out but in the 2.1b installation of Reward Point there is already a file named reward_points_functions.php in the /admin/includes/functions/extra_function
It's different from the one in includes/functions/extra_functions/ so i don't think It is possible to overwrite is without causing more problems.
Before posting I've already checked and searched for a solution so the one posted by swguy was already considered.
P.s. @mc12345678 yes is just a server test obviously but your point is right

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
UPDATE!!: just to give it a try a do as suggested by swguy (overwriting the file), Edit order get back to work properly but all the admin configuration menu of Reward Point got messed up as expected.

What about just copying the missing function from the includes folder file to the admins version?, was this thing found in an upgrade? Has the upgrade been verified?

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Not to be a naysayer, but seems that this is more of an issue with Rewards Points, than Edit Orders.. Perhaps you should take a look at the Rewards Points support thread??? Module authors cannot be expected to support how their modules work with other modules..

This is covered in the README. You need to make sure any functions added by a 3rd party order total module (such as reward points) are present on the admin side as well as the catalog side (or loaded by the 3rd party module).

Sorry Diva, the only purpouse of the post was to point out that the modules have problems together, and if someone already figured it out to say it.

Please can somebody advise me on a problem?
When I try to deduct an amount for returns etc, it messes the totals up.
I have version 4.1.2 installed
Thanks guys

Ahhh if only we knew what you meant by "it messes the totals up" (do fireworks shoot out of your computer screen perhaps??)
and if ONLY we knew what you are doing when you say "When I try to deduct an amount for returns etc"
Details of what you are trying to do, and what is the expected result you expect to see would be REALLY helpful.. Then finally if you could share DETAILS about what is ACTUALLY happening when you try to achieve this objective..

When I try and put a discount coupon in it messes the totals up. It applies the discount to the price of the product including vat, where the coupon should apply the discount to the order total, and then the vat should be recalculated based on the order total.
When I try and adjust a product quantity from 1 to 0, for example if one was returned, the totals get messed up. The totals are nowhere near what hey should be eg. The total could have been £100. A item worth £20 could have been returned, so the new total should now be £80, but instead it could be £35 or something odd.
Hope that makes sense

Are you using the stock Zen Cart "tax" code to manage VAT (see this article)? Or are you using a 3rd party module?

Hi there,
I am using the stock version, set up just how it says to in that article you pointed me to.
Thanks

Edit Orders does not apply the "coupon" itself, it calls the "ot_coupon" order total module (and the "ot_coupon" order total module applies the discount). In fact all the pricing other than product specific overrides (such as number, name, attributes, price, tax rate, etc) are handled 100% by the installed and enabled "order total" modules.
Can you check your settings for the "coupon" (including code, name, and text shown by Edit Orders)? Can you also check your settings for the "ot_coupon" Order Total module (especially sort order, include shipping, include tax, recalculate tax "method", and tax class)? Can you also provide a concrete example (including all data related to the order)?

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Right then. Now I know whats happening.....The vat isn't being added on when somebody uses a discount coupon on the order. This is messing up the orders, but im pretty sure that's what is causing edit orders to play up too.
Do you know why this is please as i'm sure I have configured the tax correctly?
Thanks
-
Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Does anybody know how I can adjust this so the vat is added on once the discount has been applied?

If "tax" is not being calculated correctly when a customer goes through the "checkout" process, something is probably not quite "right" with your tax configuration... I'd start by searching other threads on the forums about setting up taxes and/or vat... Or creating a new thread to ask why your "tax" is not being correctly applied during the "checkout" process.
You need to fix all issues with "taxes" during the "checkout" process before you will be able to tackle any issues with "tax" calculation when editing an order.

The taxes work fine 100% of the time. The only time they messs up is when a discount coupon comes into the equation :(

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
OK I have had a read of this thread and can't find the issue I am having.
Everything installed fine it seamed. When I go and press "update" it goes to a blank page.
But it does actually update the order, you can see that by going back to the order. It has been changed

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Thank you!
We're a company with a massive laser cutting and engraving machine (150 Watts, 1500 x 1200mm bed)...We have our own designs for sale, but also accept commissioned work, which requires a quoting process. This is an easy way to give our customers a quote request and response mechanism...One problem:
When I open the order page, it alerts
Code:
Warning Warning: One or more of the customer address fields contains a country name unknown to Zen Cart ("Locations / Taxes"->"Countries").
Taxes and some shipping modules may not function correctly until the issue has been resolved.
This typically occurs if someone deletes or renames a country's name from Zen Cart ("Locations / Taxes"->"Countries"). You can fix the issue by doing one of the following:
Add the country (and name) back to the Zen Cart database.
Adjust the country name to match one of the country names in the Zen Cart database.
I have verified, both through the Admin module and directly in the database, that "United States" does in fact exist in the proper areas as suggested, and that there are no leading/trailing spaces in the "orders" or "countries" tables.
While the ordered items/address portion of the update is successful, the customer is not notified of the update, and update comments are not added to the order.

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Yes, I do. This is a three-day old install of Zen Cart, and Edit Orders is the only mod installed. I poked around the customers => orders function before I installed Edit Orders to see if I could do what I wanted before I started looking for a mod. I already had three "test" orders in the system, created to learn the order creation and fulfillment process. I viewed the same orders before and after adding Edit Orders, and the issue arose immediately after installing Edit Orders
-
Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
And are you using a module allows you to manually add orders? How exactly did you add your test orders..

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
The details button appears to be the original functionality of customer =>orders, and it still works as it did before Edit Orders was installed, including status updates and email updates. The alert appears when I click the Edit button and the order displays with the editable fields, even before I make any changes.

This warning is only displayed when one of the addresses in the order has a country which is not found in the Zen Cart database. This is an extra check which was added to warn administrative users. When the country cannot be detected / determined by Zen Cart, tax and shipping calculations may not work correctly.
What is the country listed in the order (in the order db table) for "customer", "billing", and "delivery"? Does it match exactly (including case) the name of the country (in the country db table)? Are both tables using the same db collation?
Some 3rd party modules (such as minimum customer info) do not populate the country fields when creating an order (which also results in the country not being found). If you are using one of these you can ignore the warning... Or fix the 3rd party modules code to add the country to the addresses in the order...

Edit Orders does not automatically send emails to customers when you update order details such as the address, products, or order total lines.
In Edit Orders 4.1.2 when an administrative user enters a comment AND changes the status of an order the comment is saved to the database. If when the comment was saved AND the administrative user selected notify customer via email, then an email will be sent to the customer's registered email address. So if one adds a comment and changes the status of the order from "pending" to "quoted" and selects notify customer via email, then the customer is sent an email letting them know the status was changed to "quoted" and includes the comments.
There is a patch posted earlier in this thread outlining what change needs to be made if you want comments to be saved when the status of the order has not been changed. The change is already incorporated into the next release of Edit Orders, but if one wants the change before 4.1.3 is released they need to manually apply the patch.
-
Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
It turns out that shipping address is required, even if the item is store pickup (oversight from my perspective). Have to manually cut and paste.
Not saving comments when status not changed also seems to be an oversight.

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
Aye. It is not uncommon in many US states for the collection of taxes based upon the shipping address (or store address when picked up in a store)... If this is the case, with in store pickup the shipping address should most likely be the store's address...
May be different in your location... But in order to work with all possible configurations... Populating all addresses associated with an order seems to work best...
This is also why a warning is issued as opposed to stopping one from editing the order (some stores may be exempt from tax, may not need one of the addresses based upon the applicable tax laws in the locations they do business, may not offer shipping, etc).

NO.. as of Zen Cart v1.5.1 the errors logs go to the LOGS folder, and it's not created on the fly, it's part of the install files..
Amazing what the Zen Cart FAQs section has floating around.. (this found searching for the term "error log")
http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?...t-of-a-page%29
Quote:
a) Check for the actual error messages in the store's myDebug-xxxxxxx.log files:
The built-in debug logging will create files in your website's /logs/ folder, named "myDebug-xxxxxx.log" (or "myDebug-adm-xxxxxxx.log" if they are from the admin side).
(If you're on an older version of Zen Cart such as v1.3.9 or v1.5.0 then these will be in the /cache/ folder instead of the /logs/ folder.)
(To access these files, use your FTP program to connect to your webserver. Your hosting company can help you with how to do that.)
You'll want to read the contents of these files to see what the actual PHP errors are.
Then search this FAQ area for your error message and/or see the "Dealing with Error Messages" section, later in this article.
NOTE: When errors start occurring, the number of log files in this folder can grow very quickly. You can purge them by using the Debug Log File Purge option from your Admin->Tools->Store Manager screen.
You will of course want to review the contents of those files first so you can address the problems they're recording.
If you don't purge them, it will eventually slow down your website's performance, and use up a large amount of disk space.

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
We are unable to duplicate the issue you are encountering in our test and production sites.
In order to further help you determine why your installation is encountering a "blank" page, we need to know what PHP error is occurring to cause the "blank" page. If nothing is logged in the Zen Cart debug logs (you do have these enabled and the directory is writable by the webserver, correct?)... Then the next step is to look in the server error logs (your hosting provider should be able to assist you - and may need to enable logging of PHP warnings / errors).

Re: Edit Orders v4.0 Support Thread
ZenCart V1.5.1
Edit Orders 4.1.2
Super Orders 4.0.7
Stock by Attribute 1.5.1.2
Problem.
When editing an order the attributes setting is getting reset to a default value.
Is this a known problem? Is a fix available?
Cheers

Not a known issue (except for file uploads, which are not currently supported)...
I do not currently use any of the "stock by attribute" modules... Does this module make any changes to the handling of attributes on the catalog side? Does it add additional option types (which may not be understood by the stock ZC code)? If either is true... One may need to replicate those changes in the eo_* functions (or edit_orders.php when attributes are displayed)...

I don't know. I figured it would be worth asking here first before diving into how it all worked.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought.
It looks like I'm going to have to dive into the code anyway, because the client also has the " Your Store Gift Cards (plastic, etc)" module installed (http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=718), and although this does show up in the edit dropdown menu along with the Discount Voucher and Gift certificates as being editable items, the amounts entered with this are not being acted upon for the order totals.
Oh, while I'm on the topic, it took me a bit of head scratching to get the Discount Vouchers to work within the editor. It kept giving "Warning: The coupon code was not found in the title. The title / text of a coupon must be formated like "Discount Coupon : coupon_code :".
Sure enough, when I entered the data exactly like the warning suggests it worked as expected. I would have thought the 'Discount Coupon:" would be automatically derived and inserted via the dropdown selector (which I assume is happening for the Gift Certificates).
I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. I thought it worth mentioning though.
Cheers

It's a bug.
edit_orders.php , Line#894 , reads:
switch($optionInfo['type']) {
The problem is $optionInfo['type'] doesn't appear to be getting set anywhere, therefore none of the CASE's will ever match.
I've not had a chance to look into *why* this array variable isn't being set, but I've proved the point, by changing the line to read
switch("TEST") ;
then adding a case "TEST" just below the "case PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_TYPE_RADIO" and "case PRODUCTS_OPTIONS_TYPE_SELECT" lines.
Not really a viable solution, but as I said, it proves a point. The RADIO and SELECT type attributes then work flawlessly.

But NOT in the edit orders code.
I've traced this back to the source and the bug is in the stock by attributes code.
I'll follow this up with the details in the appropriate forum tomorrow.
Must get sleep.... its been a loooong day.

Not a bug.. this is how it works, and I believe the readme covers this..
