Image Handler 4 (for v1.5.x) Support Thread

Great.. i love IH.. but can't get it to install.. admin keeps saying: Missing or unreadable file:/var/www/vhosts/cameleonpaint.com/httpdocs/shop/bmz_cache/.htaccess
and where ever i look, cant find that htaccess..
is that my bad? im on a mac?

Is your host a Mac, or are you using a Mac to upload?

Check to see that the file you are seeing is ".htaccess" - the period (or dot) in front of the name is important - and make sure that it is world readable (but you don't want it writable).

We just installed last night on a upgrade to 1.5.0. On install, following the instructions, we saw a series of pink/red alerts in the message stack about files that were *not* overwritten or files that were *not* created. i.e. "File YOURADMIN/includes/modules/category_product_listing.php was NOT overwritten."

Since we didn't see (maybe I missed it?) any comment in the installation instructions that this was normal, we adjusted permissions on the files/directories relevant to the error, and loaded again, only to receive the same error.

Everything appears to be working, and we have changed the permissions on the files and directories in question back, but I am curious as to whether those error statements are expected, and whether they are documented.

Thank you for this module. I have installed it and everyting works, but I'm missing the descriptions in the "admin-configuration-images", all the options are showing but no titles or description of the alternatives. Does somebody have a suggestion how to fix this?
I'm using Norwegian language, but as far as I can see all the files are located correctly.

If you followed all the instructions for setting it up in the readme then the answer is yes..

Suggest re-installing.. BUT that last part about "as far as I can see all the files are located correctly" what did you do to configure IH4 for the Norwegian language??

Well I don't do guessing.. You need to provide a URL on your site where we can see the issue and you need to post your image settings so we can see if you do indeed have the right image settings needed to make the hover work.

Don't forget to copy the English language files to you Norwegian folder (or you may want to translate them ) before the installation. As far as I remember it can't be fixed by copying the language files after you installed IH4. As Dana suggested, re-install...

Glad you chimed in here.. You have become the resident expert on IH4 with other languages.. I was about to refer Roy to your previous posts..
