Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

So, I've been fiddling around with this template and using some of the ideas from the forum to get this thing looking something close to what I want. With that said, I think I messed it up..lol. Now, all the header menu links (except for Connect), Log In, Home and Shopping Cart links aren't working. I don't remember altering any code related to those, but maybe I did so inadvertently. Could someone please give me an idea where to start looking for a solution or maybe might know what I might have done wrong here? Thanks in advance.

The extra_datafiles files are not language files. Files in the extra_definitions and html_includes are language files, and are in includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/piccadilly_posh, and includes/languages/english/html_includes/piccadilly_posh.

To fix the problem in IE, you can add a new style with the prefix .ie9 (or whatever version number), along with your selector and declaration to the selector that needs to be moved.

Thanks,

Anne

ok... so I guess I`ll have to try the language thing again... apart from creating the french folder and french files, do I need to do anything to the files of piccadilly_posh, or just add the folder and files and install in admin?

as for the .ie9 thing, you lost me at whatever version number, I followed till there but after that, again totally lost... LOL

When I remove the margin-bottom:-150px; from your #logo the menu works again. You have done some strange things with the css. I would back track your changes. You also have a scroll bar at the bottom of the site now.

Thanks,

Anne

With any template you will need to take the files in the english lanuages folders and copy them to your new language.

Anne

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

Didn't even notice the scroll bar til now. I got impatient and was trying some things out with positioning once I changed the logo and some stuff around. i think I've gone too far to back track at this point, but I'll try. In the meantime, any idea how I would get rid of the scroll bar. Does it have something to do with the width of the template? I don't think I changed it anywhere.

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

Ok, I'm no CSS expert, but after trying a few things, it looks like the logo has something to do with why the buttons aren't working. It's like it's covering them up if that makes any sense. I changed the z index of the buttons to something higher than the logo and that worked. So maybe i need to fix something about the logo. Going to try a few things, but any ideas about that would be helpful.

If it were me, I would start commenting out large chunks of the stylesheet.css file until I isolated the line with the problem.

Thanks,

Anne

Have you tried adding a width to the logo?

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

I changed the width in the CSS to match the width of the logo and that may have done the trick. I tried some other things as well so it may have been a combo of that. Either way, it's fixed. The scrollbar is gone and all the links are clickable now. Thanks for your assistance, I'm sure I'll be back though...lol.:P

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

Hi.

I'm trying to replace the featured_products module with a carousel (caroufredsel).

I've got the new one installed but it seems as though your module is embedded in the template. Can you help me uninstall it?

My site is littleclosetDOTca

Any stable, properly installed module is compatible with the template. The featured products module is not "embedded" in the template. You might have to uninstall the tabbed home page modules module before installing the featured products carousel. This may not be necessary, you might just need to properly merge file changes.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

The plugin file for "module tabs" doesn't seem to be where the plugin normally has them ie

includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/piccadilly_posh/module_tabs.php

Is that not the plugin that is in this template perhaps?

It is the module that is installed. The template is probabaly using an older version of the module that does not have that file.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

Oh. I hadn't realized there was an update to that plugin.

Do you know if my template(piccadilly_posh) is compatible with the 2.0 version?

You can read the changes in the readme.html file of the tabbed home page modules module. I included all the changes I made there.

Thanks,

Anne

See this for changing which tab shows by default:

http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.php?195520-Abbington-Mega-Template-Support-Thread&p=1134272#post1134272

You can set the number of new products shown in the center box in admin--maximum values

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Piccadilly Posh Template Support Thread

Hello Anne.

This template is wonderful! The colors suit my needs perfectly! Quick question. My site is http://www.littlebetsywetsy.com. Please click on "Scenes" and, if it applies to your template, tell me how to hide the table of contents box. I realize it may be part of the original Zen Cart files, but I'm hoping it may be part of your template.

Thank you.

Kathy
