OLD Super Orders 2.0 (See v3.0 thread instead)

When I enter an order update, change the status on an order and then click notify customer, the message is added and the status is changed, but the notify customer has a red X and the email is not sent.

Is this an issue with super orders and is there a fix?

So I posted this question a while back, but I still cannot figure it out. (Probably I'm doing something stupid, but I've tried to rule that out.)

I just (re)installed ZC 1.3.8a and the put Super Orders on it. But I don't have the Super Orders menu in the Customers menu the way that it's mentioned in the Read Me.

I have doubled checked that the database has the fields executed by the SQL file. I also have doubled checked that all the module files have been uploaded. (I sync'd them from the unzipped file.) I have not done the manual edits, but they don't look like they affect this menu's visibility.

Any help?

It's a known issue, and a fix has been posted several times in this thread. Search the thread for "order update notify customer red x" and you'll find it.

Sorry, Tim, but if you can't see the menu items then you didn't upload the files properly. If you renamed the admin, you would need to make sure you uploaded to the newly named folder. You also should not upload the top lvl folder of the zip, only the contents of it.

To ensure you do it correctly, here's what I recommend...

1. Using your FTP client, browse to the top level of the admin on your server.
2. In the local view of your FTP client, open the top level of the admin from the super orders zip.
3. The folders you see should match.
4. Highlight everything in the local view, and drag-n-drop it to your server.
5. The only warnings you get should be for the folders themselves; the mod does not contain any overwrites.
   You can do the same thing for the catalog-side files.

I do not see the "Purchase Orders" Payment Module in the Payment Modules section.

I did not get any errors when I ran the SQL file, the SO configuration link and page is there and looks good. The Super Orders link and page under "Customers" is displaying good. Just the "Purchase Orders" in the Payment Modules is missing.

Any clues as to where I might of screwed up?

If you have access to your Database via mysql or something like that, check to see if the table ```
so_purchase_orders

I've got what is potentially a stupid question. I am currently setting up my shop so I don't have my payment gateway configured yet. I am currently just using the ZenCart free credit card.

Here's the question - should the CC information be showing up automatically as a payment on the details page or will I still have to edit that manully for every order?

Any CC number information is limited to the last 4 digits. That's a built-in security feature of Zen Cart, and is in place regardless of actual payment gateway used.

If your payment module requires you to put the CC number together between what's in your store admin and what's in the e-mail you receive, that process will not be affected by Super Orders.

Yeah I guess the question is does it show up as a Payment in SO. Right now I have to add it as a payment in SO or it shows an amount due.

Yes, the payment should show up as a payment line item in SO. Did you complete all the installation instructions? There's a portion in there that requires you to make a small edit to the catalog-side orders class (/includes/classes/order.php). That's the magic little bit that generates those payment line items automatically.

You also need to make sure you uploaded the catalog-side SO files. people sometimes upload the admin section without realizing there are files for the catalog as well.

I'm a bit stuck when it comes to changing the font colours and sizes for the paperwork. My first port of call was super_stylesheet.css. I tinkered with .invoiceheading will no success. Where should I be looking please.

Also I notice that in the status update invoice, the logo is not showing, just the little box with the red cross. Why is that?

Any help would be gratefully received.

I am pleased to say that I've solved most of this myself. Most of tthe settings were in the main stylesheet.css. The only things I'm struggling with are changing the font size and colour of the shop address on the invoice.

I'm also still stuck on the invoice logo issue.

Having a slight problem with Super Orders 2.0 and been searching like crazy to no avail.

The batch status update is working great (notifies customers, ect) and the status changes but the expiration for downloads is not updating. So "link expires" in the customer page is still showing the original date, not being updated with a status update change.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

*I had the same problem, but there is a fix that was mentioned previously in the post that I integrated, and it worked for me. These are the instructions:

I have now made a further correction so that it now updates the customer notification change the lines from 353 to 356 in the super_batch_status.php file in admin from

The above fix is for v45 which is still available on the site. v46 the latest one was supposed to have fixed this but instead it had a fault with the super_orders on its own not updating properly (it only changed 2 files in this) the fix for this can be found at http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpo...&postcount=866

This is a known problem I am still using v45 with the fix change.

Hopefully Blindside will release the new update that will include the fix
