Gallery Integration with Zencart

Remove the shop/ from the path as follows, and it should then work fine.

Your Script

<?php $G_JGALL['inc_path'] = '*shop/*gallery/'; include($G_JGALL['inc_path'] . 'index.php'); ?>

Correct Script

<?php $G_JGALL['inc_path'] = 'gallery/'; include($G_JGALL['inc_path'] . 'index.php'); ?>

Thanks that worked a treat.

any ideas how to fixes these errors

Warning: include(jGallery/index.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/wildthin/public_html/kiteforce.com.au/shop/includes/languages/english/html_includes/mytpl/define_gallery.php on line 8

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening 'jGallery/index.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/wildthin/public_html/kiteforce.com.au/shop/includes/languages/english/html_includes/mytpl/define_gallery.php on line 8

Re: Gallery Integration with Zencart

I am not sure but it coule be the path thats showing in the error, jGallery, should it not simply be gallery?

I tried to look at the shop but for some reason its terribly slow to get their, I gave up in the end.

Re: Gallery Integration with Zencart

Ok, I've cleaned up the error's :D

Please have a quick look Gallery any feedback would be welcomed.

Now I want to add some text to each photo. I've seen this done using PHP to call on a text file with the same name as the image.

Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Re: Gallery Integration with Zencart

It is already a function of the gallery.

Inside the gallery folder, look in the config.inc.php file for the following line

// Set 'y' if you want to show filenames under thumbs:
$C_JGALL['gall_show_filenames'] = 'n';

My gallery was designed for my wifes site and she did not want the filenames on so they are off by default.

Re: Gallery Integration with Zencart

Is there any way to add captions to these images?

I found this lightbox gallery mod in the addons section, would you guys say that this might be a better user experience? Especially since I already have lightbox going on in other areas of my site? I'm currently using Simpleviewer here. Do you guys think Simpleviewer is a better experience?

Just looking for an opinion or two:)

Re: Gallery Integration with Zencart

Hi All!

Do I understand correctly that each time I create a new sub-folder in the main album directory I have to change something in the config file?

What would the code be for that??

thanks!

Re: Gallery Integration with Zencart

Not at all. If you create a folder in the main albums folder, and simply upload your images to that folder, the gallery does the rest for you. Where you have a folder it will insert that folder, making it clickable

You should not have to edit anything else afterwards.

Thanks a lot!

That's what I thought too! In fact I had the Gallery working before. I just discovered that it gives me an error when I try to click on the subfolders.
And get this - I can see the thumbnails of each subfolder just fine on the main gallery page, but this is what I get when clicking on one of them (along with the "There are no items to be displayed!" in the album area):

Warning: getimagesize(gallery/albums/SubFolderImageName.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mysite/public_html/gallery/functions.inc.php on line 35

Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in /home/mysite/public_html/gallery/functions.inc.php on line 37

Notice: Undefined offset: -1 in /home/mysite/public_html/gallery/index.php on line 127

And also I am getting an error on one of the side boxes ONLY on the page where the gallery error is shown:

Notice: Undefined index: customer_id in /home/mysite/public_html/includes/modules/sideboxes/track_orders.php on line 17

Note the no slashes between the "SubFolder" and "ImageName.jpg"

Thanks!

Re: Gallery Integration with Zencart

I (just to 100% sure) added a sub folder to my wifes, inserted a couple images and it seems to be working fine, I do not however have a right column so am not sure I can help with that side of things

Make a backup of the functions.inc.php file in the gallery folder, and download this one thatmy wifes site uses. I cannot guarantee it will work on yours as I did make significant changes to mine, but it may work

Re: Gallery Integration with Zencart

Hi

Download the 1.4.4 version 1st its the full package, then get hold of the replacement files version 1.4.5 (which you probably have)

Take 1.4.4, unzip it and uploa dthe entire contents to your shop root (if your shop is the root of the host then thats where you put it.

It will create a new folder called gallery

It will NOT over right any Zencart files unless you have already installed a gallery.

Then read the readme file for setup, if you need help you can use this forum or msn me on [email protected]

Be happy to assist.

Re: Gallery Integration with Zencart

EDIT
i changed the location of the path in the script in define pages editor and it works. THANKS for the awesome addon!

thanks for the quick reply.

i downloaded 1.4.4, placed the /gallery folder in the root folder, and put the corresponding /admin files in my /admin folder.

i then added the script to my page 3 of my website using the Define Page Editor.

My page on my website doesnt show anything though.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Gallery Integration with Zencart

lol, no problem, glad you like it.

Incidentally you can change the yellow folders by looking in the themes folder, if you wanted to that is.

Re: Gallery Integration with Zencart

sure, should be able to change it in

/gallery/themes/default/default.css.

You will find its well documented so easy to locate. You need to look for this line and alter whats under it

/* Style for links under thumbs thumbs */

But in saying that you may want to look at all the other instances of font.

If your using Firefox, get the firebug plugin, it will help you a great deal in locating what stylesheet and what part of that sheet you need to edit.

Shout if you get stuck
